Thanks. I trade a basket of setups - BTCT, RBS, DBBO, 3BR, MACE, MVB. I also use the JAT. So, there have not been any new setups or new auto traders. Still all the same. However, I have been using a hybrid renko bar type. It is basically a modified renko coded by various programmers who call it something special, but it is still a hybrid renko bar type. As far as changing my style - heaven forbid! Nothings broke, so nothing to fix. Improve yes, thus a tighter less noisey price chart, but still price based.

Hi Ed,

I've been following you a long time from the silent peanut gallery. I've been impressed with your consistency and willingness to take a loss and keep on trading.

But I have a question, it seems as though I have seen a fair number of different set ups, auto traders as well as different bar types over the last few months.

Are you in the middle of changing your trading style gradually or just testing new stuff?

Stupid is more like it. The trend was still up on the 60m. I would have had to pull the plug at a close below 85.44 which was the low of the 10am bar on the 15th and a MVB setup. I risked all of last week on this one. I was trying for 88 as the target. Damn thing got there about 1 hour later. Sometimes I do stupid things that work, and sometimes they don't.

My daily goal/maxloss is 60 ticks.
If the CL is swinging well, I go for as much as I can get.

Yes, The RR was better than 2:1 and the setup was market volume balance strategy. They don't come along every day.. usually about 1 or 2 a month.
